He possess extensive knowledge of title requirements and documentation standards, making him an invaluable resource for both colleagues and clients seeking guidance through intricate commercial deals.

David Teiler, Controller

David Teiler is a seasoned financial executive with over 30 years of experience leading finance and operations across a variety of industries including real estate, insurance, consulting, and nonprofit. 

Most recently, he served as Controller at Meister Abstract, a title insurance company, where he managed financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance while supporting the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Meister Abstract, David held senior leadership roles at Coltown LLC and Reliance Capital Group, where he oversaw real estate and insurance portfolios exceeding $3 billion in assets. His work included building and managing in-house accounting teams, leading complex system migrations (including Yardi and SAP), overseeing due diligence for large-scale acquisitions, and ensuring regulatory and investor reporting across dozens of entities and jurisdictions.
Earlier in his career, he held key financial roles at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy and the Orthodox Union, where he played a pivotal part in implementing scalable accounting systems and improving organizational financial health.


David is known for his hands-on leadership, deep technical knowledge, and ability to align financial strategy with business goals. His career reflects a consistent track record of integrity, precision, and value creation.

His expertise lies in managing high-stakes closings — particularly HUD deals — where his deep knowledge and structured approach make him an invaluable asset to clients navigating intricate real estate portfolios.

Ari holds a bachelor’s degree from Bellevue and is widely recognized for his ability to keep even the most complex transactions under control at all times. Known for his calm demeanor, attention to detail, and operational excellence, he ensures a seamless experience from contract to closing.
